Red Painted Fabric Design Lap Quilt #1

Machine-pieced, hand-quilted quilt for use on a bed or hanging on a wall
This fabric is a cotton lawn printed with a photo of a paper table covering in my art classroom. A few school years of students used this paper as a surface to paint sculptures, paintings, collages on to protect the wooden tables. They’re becoming beautiful artworks in themselves, so I just had to get them printed onto fabric. This quilt is lined with a puffy wool batting and backed with unbleached cotton muslin. The binding is a patchwork of doubled-up found fabrics.
